Pizza done wrong!
No pizza coming out of the oven. We went two hours before closing and waited over 30 minutes for pizza from this buffet. They finally put some in after 3 different table's complained. Poor service and I'm not full
Absolutly TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from the cashier who took our order when we came in last night to order carry out pizza!! From the time we came in to place our order till we got the pizza which looked awful. It was a "Deep dish" Chicago style.... Came out burned on the edges and LOADED with sauce....and I would not say it was deep dish...it did not look like any Chicago style pizza we have ever had.....in Chicago...or elsewhere. I took the pizza back immediatly to tell her we weren't happy with it and she was extremely rude to me....she huffed and went to get a young man who might have been the Manager...he was very nice...and offered our money back. She grabbed the money from the register and slammed it down on the counter .... Unbelievable. I would NEVER recommend this place! I realize we were "tourists"...but you shouldn't treat any customers the way she treated us......
I am currently writing this review as of August 26, 2017 at East of Chigaco. Came here a little after 5:30 and got some breadsticks with no cinnamon and the dough was gooey, then I tried some pizzas and they were better. I hope that the cook had cooked the breadsticks a little more then he/she had done. The staff is friendly, service is quick, and you can get filled up pretty quick. The place isn't out by the road but if look for it you will find it.
The place was kinda dismal looking when we walked in the door and the lady that took care of us couldn't be bothered to smile. The pizza was terrible. It didn't look like much when she set it in front of us but we were still hopeful cuz they had 4 stars. We both took about 2 bites and decided we were done. I'm pretty sure the crust was a frozen crust and it was so soggy. The only real flavor it had was the Italian sausage. We left the entire pizza on the table when we left...it wasn't worth taking home. The only saving grace was the garlic bread but it's hard to screw up garlic butter and cheese on a sub bun. Unfortunately the marinara sauce was so chunky it was hard to dip the bread in it. We will not go back.
East of Chicago Pizza has a delicious, crispy, fluffy pan crust that is absolutely top rate! Their taco pizza is a mountain (as pictured below), and they have a fine salad bar as well as a lunch buffet every day! Their prices are a bit higher than the chain pizzerias, but the exceptional quality is totally worth it!
