Very informative and well done tour and explanation of the Anabaptists, including Amish, Mennonites and Hutterites. I recommend taking the tour and spending your time going through the self guided exhibits, as well as speaking with the docents. We spent 3 hours here.
A very interesting and informative tour. Very well put together with displays and videos. The walk through portion had a lot of information describing the similarities and differences between the religions and cultures. I was curious and have heard so many variations and this tour dispelled many rumors and myths. I was impressed and recommend this tour.
Very informative and well done. One of the highlights of our visit to the area.
This modern visitor center is a partly guided, partly multimedia, partly museum, showcase of these three religions and how they came to be. I thought the overall quality was on a par with national park visitor centers. Highly recommended for adults and it includes many exhibits appropriate for school-age children. Be forewarned that one exhibit is about torture techniques used on heretics in the 1500s in Europe. Not for the faint of heart...
This museum provides a lot of information on the local Amish and Mennonite culture. The tour comprises several multimedia presentations, which are all very well done. These presentations make use of film, audio, lights, and beautifully created decors, which all help to create a historic atmosphere.
